As you obviously noticed from the heading my name is Elmarie Swartz and I practice as a holistic facilitator, life coach/counselor, BodyTalk Access Practitioner and Master/teacher in the Holistic Energy Healing Arts.

My mission is to serve people in healing, personal development, teaching and joyful living. I draw from a variety of healing modalities, based on the specific requirements of each and every individual client. These services range from Reiki, Crystal Healing, Color Therapy and Hypnotherapy to teaching the Holistic Healing Arts, Workshops, Meditation as well as giving Counseling and Spiritual Guidance.

Healing your life begins here... a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step... healing is a journey... the destination is yourself.

Healing Sessions - Rather than calling myself a practitioner, counselor, coach or therapist I prefer the term "holistic facilitator". I use the word "holistic" (which has the same roots as "whole" and "holy") because of the realization that mind, body and spirit cannot be separated when dealing with issues of well-being, development and potential. I also like the term "facilitator" (from the Latin "facilis" meaning easy| ready| good natured| courteous) better than e.g. "therapist", because it de-emphasizes the importance and prominence of the practitioner, giving the client the deserved credit for the positive changes they make. I am not the one doing the real work - I'm just guiding and easing clients through their own natural processes.

I use methods from many therapeutic and healing traditions (some are listed in my biography), which all have their advantages and disadvantages. I therefore don't subscribe to any one system as "the perfect" model, simply using whatever works best for each individual in their particular situation. My respect for the uniqueness of every client alone demands that this kind of work is driven by people rather then by techniques.

While we can face most of our challenges alone, a little help can make a big difference. Through a variety of techniques and gentle interventions I can help you to release limiting beliefs about yourself or the world and transform unhelpful mental, emotional and behavioral patterns that might restrict your development. We will uncover and identify your conscious and unconscious abilities (e.g. through D.E.E.P Therapy), allowing you to become more of who you really are.

One of my strengths is the variety of my approaches. However, not all of them are necessarily relevant to you. Before we begin any work, I therefore take great care to establish what your expectations and requirements are, so that we're both clear about how to proceed. Please note that if you suffer from any medical condition (physical or mental), you have to see a medical doctor or clinical psychologist first.

Nobody can "make you better", all anyone can do is help create a state where you can improve yourself. Equally, while I've "been around" quite a while and been exposed to many teachings, I don't have all the answers; but I can help you find your own.

• Counseling - I hardly ever work with counseling alone, as soon as the client feels safe and confident enough to proceed into more active methods of transformation, I incorporate holistic facilitation into the sessions. I'm also happy to teach self-empowering techniques like self-hypnosis and meditation if this is appropriate and wanted.

The Energy Exchange for the healing sessions are R150.00 per 30 minutes. This means that you decide - depending on your situation - how much you can give. A session can last from 30 minutes to one and a half hours, depending on the work and what you ask for. You should be prepared to come to three sessions, although a one and a half hour session will often turn out to be enough for the moment. I do not normally see clients for more than five consecutive sessions, after which you, the client, decide on your further needs.

Teaching, Workshops and Counseling - Contact me - As a "holistic master/teacher" which is a "facilitator of learning" I concentrates on:

• creating a workshop/classroom climate to facilitate self-initiated learning, the freedom to learn and learning to be free.
• allowing the students to be free and responsible so they can confront real life problems.
• being genuine and sincere, with a confident view of humanity and a profound trust in the human organism.
• accepting the students feelings as their own.
• valuing the feelings and opinions of my students with their many potentialities.
• never denying the students feelings and has empathic awareness of the learning process and education from the student's point of view.

Holistic education is based on a concept of knowledge as a process of reasoning and of continuous learning, in other words it’s infinite.
