Potentially Toxic or Harmful Crystals

Avoid potentially toxic or harmful crystals when using the direct method of making gem elixirs. I recommend that you be cautious and use the indirect method for making gem elixirs and crystal water unless you're certain of what you're doing. To be on the safe side consider the list below of potentially toxic and harmful crystals.

NOTE: Pay particular attention when you are using with raw/natural crystals for gem elixirs or crystal water. For the most part I don't think tumbled gemstones would be harmful, with a few exceptions, such as Realgar. However if you have any doubt as to toxic or harmful crystals, simply use the indirect method or place the crystals around and outside of the container.

You may find contradictory information elsewhere as to potentially toxic and harmful crystals, I am not a mineralogist and would therefore recommend that for genuine and first hand information as far as all toxic and harmful crystals are concerned, you consult a professional minerologist for safety purposes.
