Mental Layer or Third Layer of the Aura

The Mental Layer or Third Layer of your Aura is associated with the vibrational level of thoughts and mental processes of your ego and is related to the Third (Solar Plexus) Chakra as well as your personal power.

It is composed of a finer substance than your emotional body and usually appears as a bright yellow light radiating about your head and shoulders extending around the whole body.

Yellow is the color of the mind and intellect.

The light will appear stronger and pulsate when you are concentrating on mental tasks.

This layer also extends about 75 millimeters (three inches) to 20 centimeters (eight inches) from your physical body.

The mental layer contains the structure of your ideas reflecting your linear thinking processes and your thought forms can also be seen in this layer.

The stronger and more ingrained these thought forms are, the greater is their definition within your mental body so to have an in depth knowledge of this layer is to your advantage.

The color of the thought forms in your mental layer shows the nature of your emotions attached to them.

The lower 3 astral layers are concerned with the manifestation of the physical i.e. illness or disease, negative emotions, unwanted thoughts or beiefs and together are said to make up your personality.

It is also believed by some that they start to develop at conception and dissolve at death.
