PRINCIPALITIES - The Protectors of RELIGION!

The Principalities are the seventh ranking or Choir in the Third Hierarchal Sphere of the Hierarchy of Angels, are part of the Heavenly Messengers and are described as the Angels who protect religions.

Their duty is also said to be to carry out the orders given to them by the Dominions and bequeath blessings to the material world.

They are administrative angels and their task is to oversee groups of people.

They are empowered by human behavior to influence the life-style of those who inhabit their sphere of influence and have jurisdiction over those who govern people and places.

As beings related to the world of the germinal ideas, they are said to inspire us to many things such as art or science.

They work with the Guardian Angels, who watch over every specific person and place.

They also encourage prayer and spiritual development.

Incalculable Strength

They use their incalculable strength of heaven to move the hearts and minds of those mortals with whom they have direct contact.

These celestial beings appear to collaborate, in power and authority (as implied in their etymology source), with the Powers (Authorities).

The Rulers develop ideologies whereas Authorities write the documents and doctrines. Both Rulers (Principalities) and Authorities (Powers) are involved in formulating ideologies.

However, Rulers are more focused on specific lines of thought whereas Authorities are all-encompassing.

It was from this Order that the Angel who aided David in his task of slaying Goliath was thought to have come.

The Principalities (Latin: principatus, plural: principatūs) are shown wearing a crown and carrying a scepter.
