First Layer of the Aura - Etheric Layer

The Etheric Layer or first layer of the Aura is associated with physical aspects and awareness of the material body and is related to the First (Root) Chakra.

As it is nearest to the human body it is the densest but is on the next higher vibrational level to the physical body which has the lowest vibrational level.

It bridges the connection of the material body to the higher bodies.

The etheric layer is invisible to most people although this is the one you see when you first start to practice viewing auras.

You will first observe it as a faint greyish-white colour outlining the physical body. But with practise you will see that it varies in colour from a bluish grey haze or more properly sparks of blue or grey light moving around energy lines. Grey representing a more active person and blue being associated with a more passive person.

The first layer is an energy matrix and the form is shaped and anchored to the physical matter of the material body.

The condition of this layer closely reflects the actual condition of the physical body. The etheric layer extends only about 10 millimetres (one-quarter inch) to 50 millimetres (two inches) beyond the physical body.
