"What Do Angels Look Like?" ~By Veronica Hay~

Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.
Like the taxi driver who told you that your eyes light up the world, when you smile.
Like the small child who showed you the wonder in simple things.
Like the poor man who offered to share his lunch with you.
Like the rich man who showed you that it really is all possible, if only you believe.
Like the stranger who just happened to come along, when you had lost your way.
Like the friend who touched your heart, when you didn't think you had one to touch.
Angels come in all sizes and shapes, all ages and skin types.
Some with freckles, some with dimples, some with wrinkles, some without.
They come disguised as friends, enemies, teachers, students, spouses and fools.
They don't take life too seriously, they travel light.
They leave no forwarding address, they ask nothing in return.
They wear sneakers with gossamer wings, they get a deal on dry cleaning.
They are hard to find when your eyes are closed,
But they are everywhere you look, when you choose to see.

What can we Expect to See?

Can you see angels in the clouds? People perceive angels in many different ways; the most profound encounters are as physical manifestations, which can take the form of winged beings.

Angels are genderless beings of a vibration that is pure spirit; their male and female qualities are perfect and complete, so they are androgynous.

Wings?

Angels are pure spirit and therefore have no gross physical form but most people are familiar with angels through religious art.

In art the angels are depicted as perfect beings, with flowing robes, long hair, halos and wings. Several religious sources also list certain angels as having wings. For instance the mystical Jewish texts 1 Enoch and 2 Enoch have descriptions of angels with wings. Archangel Gabriel (Jibril in Islamic) who dictated the Koran to Mohammed was described as having "140 pairs of wings".

Visionary accounts of heavenly messengers usually describe them as winged or appearing in a "heavenly light" who have been with us throughout the passages of time.
