Affirmations

Healing with Words

Affirmations have been used successfully for centuries. They have helped many people like you and I achieve extraordinary results in their lives. They have turned many failures into successes, many miracles have happened in the history of human evolution because of them.

I am sure you've come across people who are very satisfied after they practiced and implemented affirmations as well as many that have said it doesn't work. You also may have the intention to use them but are unable to or could not unlock the secret of how to go about it. Let me help you with that.

"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are endless."
~Mother Theresa~

What is an Affirmation?

Like anything else, to be able to use them we have to understand what they are?

To Affirm: Means to state something firmly and publicly.

The word Affirmation has a few meanings:

  • The act or an instance of affirming; state of being affirmed.
  • The assertion that something exists or is true.
  • Something that is affirmed; a statement or proposition that is declared to be true.
  • Confirmation or ratification of the truth or validity of a prior judgment, decision, etc.
  • Law. A solemn declaration accepted instead of a statement under oath.

Affirmations are positive sentences firmly stating a desired situation, and which are repeated many times, in order to make an impression on the subconscious mind and trigger it into positive action.

Simply put, the purpose of affirmation is to pass a command or message from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind and to make it believe that the message is true.

The subconscious mind will then do whatever it takes to turn it into reality as it has the ability to do so.

Afirmations - Healing with Words

Even though affirmations consist of words, they often involuntarily conjure mental images in the mind.

These mental images assist the subconscious mind in realizing (making real) the affirmation. In order to ensure their effectiveness, they have to be repeated with attention, conviction, interest and desire.

The power of affirmations is only limited by a person's personal conviction and belief that the affirmations are working. If they are only done half-heartedly, those are the results that will be received.

If a person believes completely in achieving the goal stated in the affirmation, that situation is almost sure to be achieved.

"Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny."
